Apprenticeship training in the cleaning and property services field
These studies will provide you with targeted learning in cleaning basics, domestic services and facilities maintenance. The studies improve your employment opportunities in cleaning services.
Goals for the studies
You will learn how to
- plan service tasks related to cleaning services at a customer site
- carry out maintenance cleaning at the customer site
- work in customer service tasks and as a member of a work community
- observe occupational and customer safety in your work
- assess your work performance.
About the studies
The scope of Professional Cleaning is 60 – 90 competence points (cp). It consists of two or three vocational units from the Further Vocational Qualification in Cleaning and Property Services (Site facilities operator):

- One optional unit (30 cp) depending on the tasks at your workplace
The training will start in August 2025.
Most of the apprenticeship training is conducted at your workplace, but the studies are supported also by some learning days at Haaga Helia -campus in Pasila. 80 % of the training is learning at your own workplace with different learning tasks and 20 % school teaching.

The start date of your studies will be arranged with you individually, if you are selected as a student. At the beginning of your studies, a personal study plan will be drawn up with you. Your prior knowledge and skills will also be considered. The duration of the studies will be specified in the personal plan.
Hybrid studies
In hybrid studies, you acquire your competence in various learning environments and in different ways. Studies may include teaching both online and on-site at Keuda. In addition, studying can include for example independent and group work and online learning. You supplement your studies according to your personal plan by learning in working life. You will receive feedback on the development of your vocational competence from your teacher and your workplace supervisor. When you have achieved your vocational competence, you demonstrate it in practical work situations. For the duration of your studies, you must sign an apprenticeship agreement.

Requirements for studies
To apply for these studies, you need a workplace where you have work tasks in accordance with this qualification. The workplace must be in Finland.
Studying requires sufficient English language skills.
With an apprenticeship agreement, the studies are free of charge.
The learning days are at Haaga Helia -campus in Pasila (Ratapihantie 13, Helsinki).
